Daniel James Curry

Young, raw talent.

Daniel is a 16 year old, talented young man. Out of 400 people in the North East he was a finalist in the Soundwaves music Festival Competition, making it to the local final where he performed
main stage at the 02 Academy Newcastle. Daniel was also a finalist in the Pride of South Tyneside Young performer of the year category in 2019 and 2021.

His Story

In 2019 Daniel was eager to enter pub / open mic sessions but due to his age he was restricted from doing so. With the support of his Dad they set up set up 'Into the Spotlight' which is a community group entertaining vulnerable adults and also finding gigs and opportunities for singer. song writer musicians. They set up a professional recording studio, rehearsal space, vulnerable adults group, young performers group and showcase opportunities as well as entertaining the elderly and disabled. The group also co ordinate paid opportunities for some performers to mainstream and charity bookings.

Daniel went on to write lyrics for 3 original songs with his first band and also wrote a song himself supported by a former music teacher. Which was reviewed in NARC Magazine. ​

Daniel is available for private bookings and events. Highly commended by Ray Spencer of the Customs House and the Dept Mayor of Gateshead with Into the Spotlight also now a preferred provider of South Tyneside Council.

Daniel currently covers Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, The Monkees, The Turtles, and The Rolling stones as well as George Ezra.
